We recently had the opportunity to design, develop and launch a new website for the Community Connections Free Clinic in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, an organization doing truly important work for individuals and families who otherwise might not have access to basic healthcare services.
Dan Smith, before his retirement as Director of the Community Connections Free Clinic reached out to WebWise Design & Marketing and we we discussed developing a new website.
From the beginning, this project was about more than just a fresh design. The clinic needed a website that was clear, welcoming, and easy to use for patients, volunteers, and supporters alike — many of whom may be visiting the site during stressful or uncertain moments.
One of the important goals for the project was ensuring the website works equally well in both English and Spanish making sure language was not a barrier to finding care, understanding services, or reaching out for help. The result is a bilingual website that allows visitors to easily view content in the language they’re most comfortable with.
We focused on keeping the layout clean and straightforward, with clear navigation and content that gets to the point. Visitors can quickly learn about clinic services, how to schedule appointments, how to volunteer, and how to support the clinic’s mission. The site was also designed to work smoothly on mobile devices, recognizing that many users will be accessing it from a phone.
Most importantly, we fell the website reflects the heart of Community Connections Free Clinic — compassionate care, community support, and dignity for every patient they serve.
